SLP’s are leadership and character-building programs hosted in a school or community agency and often sponsored by a Kiwanis club or another civic organization.
BUILDERS CLUB: A student-led club for middle school students giving opportunities to serve their school and community. We proudly sponsor this program at Rosemont, and St. Bede Catholic Middle Schools.
CUB SCOUTS: A program encouraging boys and girls to make friends, be helpful to others, learn and enjoy outdoor activities. We proudly sponsor Pack 310 in the Verdugo Hills Council, Scouting America.
KEY CLUB: A student-led high school organization. Students make the world a better place through service. In doing so, they grow as individuals. We proudly sponsor this program at Clark Magnet, Crescenta Valley, Franklin, St. Francis, and Village Christian High Schools.
SCHOLARSHIPS: We offer Scholarship Awards annually. See that page for more information.
YOUTH PROTECTION GUIDELINES: Kiwanis International and the Kiwanis Club of La Cañada La Crescenta – AM adhere to the following guidelines when working with our youth programs. Each Kiwanis Club is required to provide yearly training to club members and ensure that each SLP Advisor has a background check every two years.
